Many Everton fans react to Richarlison's lucky goal v Manchester City
Richarlison managed to get himself back among the goals for Everton in the first half of the 3-1 defeat to Manchester City at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.
The Brazilian followed up Lucas Digne’s 38th-minute effort. It rebounded off the post and struck the number seven on the leg and bounced into the City net.
This goal was Richarlison’s third in the Premier League in the 2020/21 season. He has been struggling for form as of late and is an unlikely scorer. It’s his first league goal since the 2-0 win away to Leicester in December.
In the absence of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, there was concern amongst fans as to who would fill the void and score any goals.
It was just the fourth goal that the runaway league leaders have conceded in their last 16 top-flight games. The Toffees have been in the game despite having just 31% possession in the first half.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men will be hoping to find the net again in the second half. A win would take Everton level on points with arch-rivals Liverpool, with a game in hand to possibly move three points ahead.

With just one win in the last five league games, victory over Pep Guardiola’s in-form side would be a huge boost. The blues are still well in the hunt for a European placed finish come the end of the season.
The goal from Richarlison was very lucky to say the least, many fans reacted to it on Twitter. Goodison News have picked out the best ones for you to look through:
