Campbell: Everton could drop Allan for West Brom clash – Exclusive
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell claims Carlo Ancelotti could rest Allan for Thursday night’s clash between Everton and West Brom at The Hawthorns.
The Brazilian made his long awaited return from injury against Southampton and impressed as the Blues kept a clean sheet.
Campbell insists Everton now have the squad depth that allows Ancelotti to rotate without losing too much quality.

“It goes without saying, Everton are going to need their squad,” Campbell told Goodison News.
“If they’re going to be looking to challenge for that top four this season then they will need to utilise every single player in that squad.
“Allan came in and did great but you don’t need to keep playing him and risk further injury, you could rotate with Tom Davies.”

Davies has been a revelation this season and while he isn’t quite on the same level as Allan, he is not the same player he was 12 months ago.
Last season’s Davies gave away stupid fouls and was a walking yellow card but at the moment he is playing like a top midfielder.
His reading of the game is excellent and while he does still make mistakes he is only 22-years-old and still learning.
West Brom are a side we should easily beat without Allan and it is a game where Davies should be able to come in and dominate the midfield.
We will be in a very strong place as a squad if we are able to drop quality players like Allan and have it not effect the side too much.
In other Everton news, AC Milan are ready to challenge Everton for the signature of Norwich defender Max Aarons.
