Exclusive: Campbell backing Richarlison to make the difference in Everton v Burnley

We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…

Kevin Campbell is backing Everton to return to winning ways with a home win over Burnley at the weekend after losing to Chelsea on Monday.

The Toffees drew 1-1 at Turf Moor earlier in the campaign and Carlo Ancelotti will be looking for a better result at Goodison Park.

Campbell is predicting a tight game and even backed Richarlison to be amongst the goals when the Clarets take on the Blues on Saturday.

“Everton haven’t been great at home,” Campbell told Goodison News.

“Burnley are one of those sides who seem to be stepping it up a little bit now and they’re grinding out some good results.

“I’m going for Everton to respond. I fancy them to win the game though I think it will be tight. Everton will win 2-1 and Richarlison will grab a goal.”

Everton will be boosted with the return of Seamus Coleman as Ancelotti stated he would return on Saturday.

If we are to maintain our top-four dream we simply must beat Burnley.

They are down near the relegation zone which is saying something considering the appalling quality of the teams down near the bottom this season.

We should’ve beaten them earlier this season and we must make amends on Saturday.

It would also be timely for Dominic Calvert-Lewin to get back amongst the goals as he hasn’t scored since his return from injury and he hasn’t scored at home since October.

We need to win this one and we should be able to do it with ease.

In other Everton news, the Blues have been handed a major injury boost with Yerry Mina having been spotted back in training.
