Confirmed Everton team news v Tottenham
Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed his Everton team news ahead of the Premier League clash against Tottenham on Friday evening.
The Toffees go into the clash at Goodison Park on the back of two disappointing draws against Crystal Palace and Brighton.
Ancelotti will be without Dominic Calvert-Lewin once again, with the England international not back until next week.
Speaking in his press conference on Thursday afternoon, as shared on the official club Twitter account, Ancelotti shared the big updates.
“Available for the game are Jordan Pickford, Allan, Josh King and Andre Gomes,” he said.
“Next week we will have Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Yerry Mina, Fabian Delph and Bernard back.”
Four in, Four out.
The major news is that we will be without Calvert-Lewin yet again.
Finding the back of the net has been a massive problem in recent weeks, even when our top talisman was available, so missing him isn’t exactly what we need.
That puts a lot of pressure on the shoulders of Richarlison yet again, and he will need James Rodriguez pulling the strings against a weak Spurs; the return of the disciplined Allan should help that.
Spurs and Jose Mourinho have been crumbling in recent weeks, and their defeat against Manchester United sees them desperate for three points in Merseyside.
Ancelotti will know that he needs those points himself if the Blues are to push themselves into European contention, and another match passing by with no win would be a huge problem.
