Report: PSG and Raiola open talks for Moise Kean

Paris St. Germain and agent Mino Raiola have opened talks to bring Everton forward to the Parc des Princes this summer

According to reliable journalist Nicolo Schira, Everton will reportedly demand a fee in the region of £40m from PSG to part ways with Kean in the summer.

His agent Raiola is discussing terms with PSG sporting director Leonardo, and a five-year deal appears to be in the offing should the French side match Everton’s asking rate.

The player has flourished under new manager Mauricio Pochettino and PSG are keen on roping in the attacker.

Raiola, who is known to get the best deal for his clients and himself, recently was full of praise for PSG, explaining why moving to the Parc des Princes is beneficial to promising players.

“PSG has a great appeal on all of the top players I represent,” he said, per the Liverpool Echo. “Players that would all consider joining the club if the opportunity presented itself.”

Good move

If Kean stays on Merseyside next season, it’s unlikely that he starts ahead of Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison, for that matter, as Carlo Ancelotti has placed a huge amount of trust on the attacking duo.

He may not be the same player that struggled to find his feet in the Premier League, but it’s best for both parties that he moves on this summer and signs permanently for PSG.

Italy coach Roberto Mancini said that the player was ‘destined for greatness’ in 2019 [Rai Sport via Football Italia], and he has since gone from strength to strength to be a key goal-scoring threat for the Ligue 1 champions.

Pochettino’s predecessor Thomas Tuchel, who worked with Kean for half the season, has referred to Kean as ‘fearless’ [The Athletic] for adapting perfectly to life in the French capital.

He’s bagged 12 league goals this season in 24 games and has been Poch’s backup to Neymar – who’s only started in 12 games.

While Kean has a long way to go to get to Neymar’s level, he’s still only 21 and could benefit from training every day with the talented Brazilian.

Everton would make a handsome profit off Kean’s sale and hopefully invest those funds in signing a quality centre-back.
