Jamie Redknapp has been stunned by Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the Premier League this season.

The Toffees frontman started once again in the clash with Aston Villa this evening, but had a quiet evening on the whole with few opportunities.

Redknapp backed Calvert-Lewin to be in the England squad for the European Championships this summer, and described him as a huge "problem."

Speaking on live coverage of the game on Sky Sports, Redknapp made it clear how big of a fan he has become of Calvert-Lewin.

"The season he's had, I do think he'll make the EUROs," he said.

"He's had a great season, he offers you something completely different from an aerial perspective, even with 10-15 minutes to go in games.

"He is such a problem for teams because they can't deal with his height and his power. I think he's surprised everyone, I'm delighted for him."

Problem.

Calvert-Lewin has really harnessed his physicality this season and has added clinical finishing to his armoury.

He has certainly had some off days in the final third, and we don't need to remind you of that draw at home against Crystal Palace, but who doesn't?

The finish that grabbed us all three points at West Ham over the weekend was as clinical as they come, and England may need that in such a big competition.

Harry Kane is the only English player to score more goals this season, and it is a guarantee that Calvert-Lewin will be his main deputy in the EUROs.

Bring it on.
