Mike Parry slams Moshiri after Rafa Benitez to Everton news
Mike Parry hasn’t held his punches while criticising Everton owner Farhad Moshiri for his reported decision of giving the managerial position to Rafael Benitez.
Per an exclusive from talkSPORT, which was eventually relayed by other publications, the former Liverpool manager remains the favourite for the Goodison Park hot seat.
Hiring someone who achieved success at Liverpool and won them the Champions League, is undoubtedly going to upset a certain chunk of the Everton fanbase, and Parry took little time to give his reaction to the news breaking.

Via his personal Twitter account, the former talkSPORT presenter said, “If Rafa Benitez is appointed manager of Everton I think it will be rejected by many Everton fans.
“It will be a horrible and insensitive appointment and could only possibly have been sanctioned by a billionaire owner who doesn’t quite understand what a football club is about.”
Ridiculous
Benitez clearly has more managerial pedigree than Nuno Espirito Santo and that’s the kind of personality we need at the club.
Carlo Ancelotti’s appointment was the changing of the guard and we cannot go back to hiring managers who haven’t handled the biggest egos and competed for the top honours.
Nuno’s last job was at a relatively big club, FC Porto, and that ended in abject failure which saw him get sacked after just one season in charge.

He was able to achieve a good table finish in Wolves’ first season back up due to the Portuguese connection and Jorge Mendes’ influence at the club that saw them sign Champions League level players in the Championship.
Benitez, on the other hand, has done well with a shoestring budget at Newcastle and still managed to keep them up. He’s won trophies at big clubs and could be the right man to end our drought.
Hoping there aren’t any more twists and turns.
