Kevin Campbell believes that Sporting Lisbon midfielder Matheus Nunes will be the perfect signing for Everton this summer.
It was reported on Friday that the Brazilian has agreed personal terms at Goodison Park, and will soon be announced.
Campbell insisted that Nunes is the exact player the Toffees need, as Nunes can be the ball-carrier that has been missing for years.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “An extra body in there.
“He’s a dribbler, someone who can carry the ball. He looks a decent player, obviously whoever the manager, their influence will start coming through.
“It’s good business because Everton will have plenty of passers, but they need someone who can carry the ball and commit people, that’s what the best teams have.”

Denzel Dumfries is another name that is mentioned, with both players shining over the past season.
Nunes played a huge role in Sporting winning their first Portuguese title in years, and a jump to the Premier League will be a massive move.
The pressure will be on, but playing alongside fellow Brazilian Allan could make the perfect blend of defence and attack.
Campbell is ready for the switch, and it appears as though this one could be announced before our new manager is.
