Everton open to Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin exits this summer
Everton are open to selling Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer with concerns over the club’s finances, according to Duncan Castles.
The Times journalist, speaking on The Transfer Window Podcast [22/06/21], has detailed Everton’s soft stance to their possible departures.
“There is a calculation within Everton over what to do with their two main strikers,” Castles said.

“Richarlison is very much open to moving elsewhere. His agent has been looking for opportunities to move him.
“Everton are aware of that and are saying if a good offer comes in for him, if he gets what he regards to be a good offer, then ‘we should take it’ and invest elsewhere, especially to get in cash which is not in great supply at Everton at present.
“The other one that was a lot more surprising when I was told is Calvert-Lewin.
“There is a sense within Everton that Calvert-Lewin is very valuable and they wonder whether he has reached the peak of his development.
“The experts within Everton have a sense that perhaps he has reached his peak and if they are to going to cash in on the player this is the time to do it and if they get a good offer this summer they would seriously consider selling him.
“It’s one to pay attention to.”

Scandalous
If these reports are true, then Farhad Moshiri really is about to feel the wrath of Everton supporters.
Moving for Rafa Benitez as the next Blues boss was an extremely unpopular decision, but if he compounds that by selling a couple of fan favourites, then his position as Everton owner would come under severe scrutiny.
Calvert-Lewin was our leading light last season, scoring 16 Premier League goals, while Richarlison has been a constant menace to defences since his 2018 arrival from Watford, even if he does go through lean spells where he looks off the pace.
Behind those two, who will provide the goals, or even a moment of magic to get the Goodison Park crowd off their feet?
James Rodriguez is the only other star name in attack, and he spent most of the second half of last season on the sidelines.
Furthermore, why is cash not in “great supply” at the moment? Are our financiers starting to get restless after a dismal end to the season?
We’re hoping this turns out to be mere speculation, but when you factor in our embarrassing search for a new manager, nothing can be put past this shambolic Blues board at present.
In other Everton news, Simon Jordan has fired a warning to Farhad Moshiri over this materialistic manager.
