James Rodriguez ready to quit Everton

James Rodriguez is prepared to quit Everton this summer with his agent offering him out to clubs across Europe, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper reports that Rodriguez’s representatives have even touted him to Real Madrid so he can link up again with ex-Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti.

However it is understood a return to the Bernabeu is unlikely for the Colombia international with his agent Jorge Mendes also offering him to Atletico Madrid, Napoli and AC Milan.

Get him gone

Rodriguez showed flashes of brilliance at Everton last season.

He started the campaign strongly with three goals and three assists in his first five Premier League appearances for the club.

However, after a few injuries that disrupted his momentum, it all went downhill for the ex-Real Madrid playmaker, who also entered the bad books of fans at the end of the campaign when he missed matches due to ‘fatigue’

Everton really struggled without Rodriguez and he is one of the best players on the books at Goodison.

In fact, he’s one of the best players in the Premier League.

But he just never seemed as though he cared about the club and therefore, we wouldn’t mind seeing the back of him as long as a good replacement is signed.

According to the Daily Mail, the Toffees have “financial fair play concerns” so getting him off the wage bill and received a transfer fee should alleviate plenty of issues.

We should probably wait to see who the next manager is next but it’s looking increasingly likely that Rodriguez will be leaving us this summer.
