Rafa Benitez agrees key aspects of Everton contract – Sky Sports

Rafa Benitez has agreed key aspects of his contract at Everton this weekend, according to Sky Sports.

The Spaniard is set to be announced at Goodison Park next week, with his full agreement expected in the coming days.

Farhad Moshiri has finally bitten the bullet, despite mass protests from fans around Merseyside for the past two weeks.

Carlo Ancelotti unexpectedly packed his bags and left, and will have earned the Toffees a big sum of compensation from Real Madrid.

Given that Benitez is currently unemployed, it will leave him with a bigger transfer budget over the next two months.

There are clearly areas that need working on, with full-back and out wide two issues that need sorting out quickly.

Benitez is a big name having worked at the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea and could help keep the likes of James Rodriguez and Allan at the club.

Done.

This is clearly sealed and delivered, we’re just waiting on the signed part.

Benitez appears to have agreed on the final parts of his contract, and now he will put pen-to-paper on that and make it official.

It will be interesting to see the reaction once it is announced, fans have now had more than a week to get used to the future.

We don’t expect many more protests around Goodison Park, and if similar flags are posted around the ground, it would be a disgrace.

Benitez knows what it takes to succeed, and everyone will forget about his past should he bring some success to Merseyside.
