Guillem Balague hits back at Everton fans after disgraceful Rafa Benitez banner
A small portion of Everton fans have left a disgraceful banner near the residence of Rafa Benitez over the week.
It was pictured and shared around social media on Monday morning, inscribed with “We know where you live, don’t sign.”
Many have hit back at the banner, with fans joining forces to condemn the small minority who believed this was acceptable.

Guillem Balague was among those, with the BBC’s Spanish football expert hitting back at the disgraceful act.
Writing on his personal Twitter account this morning, Balague called for the police to take action immediately.
“What a disgrace,” he wrote.
” Not representative of Everton fans or Liverpool people. Not the ones I know, but it is criminal and I hope the police intervene.”
Embarrassing.
Whoever drew up this banner and left it near the residence of Benitez has nothing to do with the Everton faithful.
No true supporter would decide that this was a good idea, and they have to be punished accordingly.
Forgetting about football for a moment, this is threatening to not only Benitez but to his wife and kids that also live with him.
Police action has to be taken, we agree with Balague, but the Toffees also have to find those responsible and make sure they aren’t welcome in Goodison Park ever again.
Farhad Moshiri and the board have to release some sort of statement, back Benitez if you’re going to appoint him, you can’t just let him go through this alone.
Now is the time to stand together as we enter a new stage of the club once again, and banners like this are simply way over the line and should in no way be associated with our magnificent club.
