Kevin Campbell: Everton need to sell Gylfi Sigurdsson
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell has urged Everton to sell Gylfi Sigurdsson this summer as the squad needs a revamp.
The Icelandic international has been reportedly targeted by Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal and could leave Goodison Park.
Campbell believes that older players need to be sold by the Toffees, and replaced by younger options for the new manager.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “He’s a big figure.
“Times do have to change at Everton. Gylfi has been a good servant at the club, but the squad needs to be tightened up.
“I honestly think they need to get younger, so Gyfli will be one of those who may have to give way.
“I still think he’s a good player.”

Goodbye?
Sigurdsson had one of his better seasons for the Toffees in the past year.
Having said that, it would be no real shock to see him leave Goodison Park and vacate his big-money wages for a better, younger option.
If we can get anywhere near the £10million figure that has been suggested, it would be impossible to turn down.
Rafa Benitez is the new man likely to be in charge, and he will face a real squad overhaul in the month leading up to the new season.
The Spaniard will want to put his own spin on things, and has loved central midfielders that can burst into the final third during his career; just look at Gini Wijnaldum at Newcastle.
Will Sigurdsson still be here in August? We believe it is highly unlikely.
