Everton in contact with agent of Rangers star Glen Kamara
Everton are keen on bringing Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara to Goodison Park, and have been in touch with his camp, according to Give Me Sport.
The Finland international is yet to reach an agreement over a new deal with the Scottish Premiership champions, and the Toffees are looking to make a swoop.
Give Me Sport say Everton have asked Kamara’s agents about the kind of deal the midfielder would be looking for this summer as they join the race for the in-demand midfield sensation.
Needed signing
With Rafa Benitez set to be confirmed as the Toffees next manager, some squad changes are expected in the coming weeks.
As expected, Carlo Ancelotti’s departure would trigger some exits, and Everton could do with new additions in midfield.
Having established himself as one of the best players in his position in the Scottish top-flight, Kamara looks ready to make the step up to the Premier League and has recently proven himself at the European Championships.
The 25-year-old was arguably Finland’s best player at the tournament having put in a series of fine performances at the qualifiers, and we could do with such a quality in the middle of the park.
Despite having Allan, Andre Gomes, Tom Davies, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Jean-Philippe Gbamin available in the position, there are no guarantees that all of them would be at Goodison Park next term.
Kamara could prove to be a great addition going by what we have seen so far, and the club could be looking to bring him to Merseyside.
