Report: Negotiations between PSG and Everton for Kean headed in right direction

Everton attacker Moise Kean appears to have got his way as he is reportedly closing in on a loan move to PSG.

Per The Daily Mirror‘s Simon Maddock, Kean recently made his intentions clear to Everton that he would only join the Ligue 1 side who only want to sign him on loan.

The Toffees are looking to capitalise on his sale and look to invest the £40million they expect to generate from it to strengthen the squad.

However, per Saber Desfarges, Everton have given in to PSG’s and the player’s demands and have sanctioned a loan move.

The French journalist has stated that loan negotiations between the two clubs are heading in the right direction and Kean is looking forward to playing another season at the Parc des Princes under Mauricio Pochettino.

Bad decision

Our best play would be to hold firm and demand PSG to pay a transfer fee upfront. It seems that they don’t have any plans to keep the player permanently and at the end of next season, they might not look to sign him.

Right now, while his value is high and PSG want him for next season, we have some negotiating power. However, as always our inept board has capitulated and we might not be able to cash in on the Italian this summer.

Everton

With Rafa Benitez now officially announced, he will soon be looking to the owners to sanction funds for strengthening the squad in the summer.

Our failure to sell Kean could lead to us missing out on one or two signings which in the large scheme of things could prove to be costly in the long run.

We hoped that our board showed that kind of courage too in cashing in on him, but unfortunately they’ve let us down again.
