Kevin Campbell: James Rodriguez will 100% leave Everton

We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…

Kevin Campbell has insisted that James Rodriguez will “100%” leave Everton in the upcoming summer.

The Colombian had a great relationship with Carlo Ancelotti, and AC Milan have been credited with a strong interest.

Campbell believes that a move to the San Siro is highly likely, and thanked Rodriguez for his one year at Goodison Park.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “100%.

“Not even 99%, 100% I see him moving. I think that one was a straight on, I’m coming for the manager.

“I don’t think he knew anything about Everton, Ancelotti spoke to him and he came directly for the manager, so I can understand him leaving.

“Thank you for the year, but time to move on.”

Goodbye.

We have to say that although it may be with a heavy heart, everyone will be expecting this on Merseyside.

It would even be a surprise if Rodriguez turns up to Finch Farm again, with him currently being in America and could go straight to Italy to complete another move.

Super agent Jorge Mendes is reportedly lining up an £8.6million move to get that deal done with AC Milan.

Campbell is spot on with his verdict, the playmaker only made this move in the first place because of Ancelotti, and no matter who came in after, he wouldn’t stand much of a chance.

It will only be a matter of time before exits start to happen, and this budget will be increased for Benitez to splash the cash this month.
