Jordan Pickford to win Golden Glove at Euro 2020
Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is set to win the Golden Glove award at Euro 2020 after keeping five clean sheets for England.
The much-maligned English keeper has silenced his critics with a stunning performance in goal this time around.
England are the only side still to concede a goal in the competition, and that record could continue should they keep a clean sheet in the semi-final against Denmark.
However, even if they fail to keep the Danes at bay, Pickford’s fate as Golden Gloves winner has been sealed.
With Italy conceding against Spain on Tuesday night, Gianluigi Donnarumma will not be able to keep five clean sheets at the EUROs and could only end up with four should he keep the opponents at bay in the final on Sunday.
Deserves the cup
While Pickford may be delighted about winning the Golden Gloves, the tournament trophy is what will excite him the most. After coming under a barrage of criticism on multiple fronts, he has successfully managed to ensure it fell on deaf ears.

Not once did he let the negativity get to him and that’s a sign of a true professional willing to work the hard yards together.
Had he not enjoyed a good tournament, there would certainly be a number of critics asking Gareth Southgate to change his first-choice keeper. Now, suddenly all the doubters have gone quiet.
Two more clean sheets will all but ensure that England win the EUROs, and after the tournament Pickford has had, we want him to end it in the best way possible – with his hands on the trophy.
He’s not only been a phenomenal shot stopper, but has also been very capable with the ball at his feet and we can’t wait for him to take up positions between the sticks for us next season.
