Moise Kean returns to Everton and the Italian could be set to stay

Moise Kean watched on from the sidelines as Rafael Benitez’s Everton beat Accrington Stanley 3-0 in a pre-season friendly, and according to the Liverpool Echo, no side are in talks to sign the Italian permanently.

They claim that the Toffees are “not in talks with any club over a permanent deal for Kean”. They also state that Everton will not entertain any loan deal for the 21-year-old.

Kean is “determined” to force through a move to PSG, but talks with the Ligue 1 side have reached an “impasse” as they only want Kean on loan.

Will Kean stay at Everton?

It sounds as if the Italian is keen to leave and wants to return to play for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, where he spent last season on loan and scored 17 goals.

However, given that the Toffees paid just under £25m to sign Kean from Juventus in 2019, it is no surprise that they want a permanent deal for a player who has only scored four goals for the Toffees.

So, he has been an expensive transfer for Everton, and if they didn’t sell him, it would be interesting to see if Benitez would give Kean a chance.

However, the preference of the club is clearly to sell Kean, and it will be interesting to see if PSG do decide to try and buy the Italian [Fabrizio Romano].

If not, Kean and Everton will have to hope that another club comes forward, or the Toffees could be stuck with an unhappy player, and Kean could be stuck at a club he perhaps doesn’t want to play for anymore.

In other Everton news, the Toffees are very keen on signing 21-year-old Norwich star.
