Fabrizio Romano: Jordan Pickford Everton exit is unlikely
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has delivered an upbeat verdict over the Everton future of England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
The transfer guru was speaking via his Twitch account on Monday evening [12/07/21] regarding potential transfers, and he brought up the 27-year-old’s name.
Romano said: “Just a quick one on Pickford, he had a great game yesterday. I see him staying at Everton and what he did on penalties was something remarkable. He was a true leader yesterday.”

Summer star
Events haven’t always been easy for the ex-Sunderland shot-stopper since he moved to Everton in 2017, but the last month has shone a favourable light on him.
He was in imperious form once again yesterday as England clashed Italy in the final of the European Championship.
Roberto Mancini’s side peppered the Three Lions goal with 20 shots recorded before the game went into a penalty shoot-out.
Pickford saved efforts from Andrea Belotti and Jorginho but that still wasn’t enough to clinch Euro 2020 glory as Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka all failed to score from 12 yards.

However, Pickford has still emerged with his reputation considerably enhanced after claiming the Golden Glove award for the most clean sheets in the tournament.
We haven’t seen any recent reports linking him with a Goodison park exit this summer but it’s reassuring to hear from Romano that he is set to stay at Everton, with a transfer away unlikely.
After some improved displays for the Blues in the second half of the season, as well as his recent England performances, it’s vital we keep hold of him this season and recruit in other areas of the pitch.
In other Everton news, Fabrizio Romano claims the Blues are in active exit talks over this big-name.
