Asmir Begovic spotted posing for photos with Everton fans as Blues move inches closer
Asmir Begovic has been spotted posing for a photo with an Everton fan in Liverpool as he closes in on a transfer from Bournemouth.
The Bosnian goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a move to Merseyside since Friday afternoon [16/07/21], while talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook reported on Saturday afternoon that the 34-year-old could be formally announced by the club tonight [17/07/21].
A tweet posted by @BevNicki, via ToffeeTV, shows Begovic posing for a photo with a young Everton supporter at the Everton One store.
Quickly in amongst it
Begovic hasn’t even been formally announced yet, but it looks like the worst-kept ‘secret’ that he is about to become Everton’s first major signing of the summer.
He hasn’t wasted any time in endearing himself to supporters, happily posing for a photo with a young Blues fan.
His signing may not be the exciting, flashy deal that many Blues were hoping to see, but it’s an important one nonetheless, and mixing with the locals is a great way to go about winning them over.

It’s also an important move for Everton number one Jordan Pickford.
The 27-year-old will return to training in a few weeks time with his reputation considerably enhanced following a heroic European Championship campaign with England, where he claimed the Golden Glove award as the Three Lions were narrowly denied the trophy on penalties.
His form won’t have come as much of a surprise to Blues fans – they witnessed a consistent second half of the 2020/21 season – but he still needs competition in order not to become complacent.
As a vastly experienced goalkeeper with 252 Premier League appearances under his belt, Begovic will provide stern competition to Pickford, and that will surely bring out the best in the England shot-stopper.
