The Athletic: Everton want to sign Samuel Chukwueze this summer
Everton are keen on signing Villarreal attacker Samuel Chukwueze this summer, according to The Athletic.
Director of Football Marcel Brands and his recruitment team have scouted a number of wide attackers to make the team dynamic in the final third.
One player they’ve been tracking is Chukwueze, and the Nigerian has found himself on the Everton transfer shortlist this summer.

Exciting and canny player
The Nigerian is on the back of a remarkable season which saw his side winning the Europa League under Unai Emery.
While he couldn’t make it to the final due to injury, he played a pivotal role in getting his team there and deserves all the plaudits that came his way.

This comes as good news for us and makes it that much easier in securing the 22-year-old’s signature.
The Nigerian comes highly recommended and has been praised by former Premier League striker Samuel Eto’o.
Speaking to Goal last May, the Cameroonian said, “He is an incredible player who is growing in leaps and bounds and it’s just a matter of time.
“He is a quality player and he needs to score more goals, but he has the quality and ability to be more than just a goal-scoring forward. Once he gets all of that he will be top.”
We’ve seen and read enough of Chukwueze to be excited about these transfer links and we’re hoping that Brands takes this a step further and enters negotiations to sign the Nigerian this summer.
