Everton could receive an unexpected cash boost should Nikola Vlasic join AC Milan

Everton are in line for an unexpected cash boost this summer should AC Milan complete the signing of former Toffees midfielder Nikola Vlasic, according to Danny Armstrong.

Armstrong, who works for Russian broadcaster RT, revealed on his own verified account that the Toffees stand to receive “a percentage of” any transfer fee should Vlasic leave CSKA Moscow for a move to Milan.

It is unclear how much this will be, but as things stand, CSKA are said to be looking for 35million Euros [£30million] from the Serie A giants for Vlasic [Milan News]. So Everton would be entitled to a percentage of that, which could be a nice little bonus.

Vlasic to inadvertently help Everton?

The Toffees signed the 23-year-old in 2017, and he spent two years at the club and only made 19 appearances and scored just two goals.

However, his move to CSKA has worked out much better, and last season he scored 12 goals and provided a further six assists, and now it appears as if AC Milan want to sign him.

Considering Everton spent £10m on Vlasic, any money from this potential deal could be a bonus to the Toffees [BBC].

Rafael Benitez’s rebuild has started, and he has already signed three players, but he will surely want more, and any extra money they can get would probably be helpful.

Of course, we will have to see if Vlasic completes his move to AC, but if he does, the Toffees might get a nice slice of the fee, which they can then use to invest in their squad.

Vlasic might not have been the best signing for Everton, but he could still benefit them in some way.

In other Everton news, the club are not keen on signing a former Premier League striker.
