Michael Ball urges Everton to not send Moise Kean on loan this summer
Everton have been urged by Michael Ball to permanently part ways with Moise Kean this summer.
The Italian was sent out on loan last season where he was a bit-part player for Paris St. Germain.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino is understood to be keen on having him in the side next season, but PSG are only willing to sign him on loan while the Toffees are holding out for a permanent transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Speaking about the attacker’s situation, the Sky Sports journalist said, on his podcast Here We Go, “PSG want him on loan with [an option to buy], but Rafael Benitez is absolutely against this solution. He wants to keep the player or sell the player, not [a] loan with [option to buy].”
Ball, a former Everton left-back has echoed Benitez’s stance on the 21-year-old in an interview with Transfer Tavern.
He said, “The Moise Kean one hasn’t really worked and I think if Moise Kean does leave, I feel he needs to go for a transfer fee. I don’t think we can afford to loan him out for another 12 months or so.”
Wise
It’s a relief to see Benitez and Ball on the right side of this issue. A club like PSG should not have a problem buying the player outright, especially after having him among their ranks for an entire season.

They’re one of if not the richest clubs in the world and should be able to pay the reported £40million we’re asking for the Italy international, per BBC journalist Julien Laurens.
Speaking about Kean’s sale with the French transfer market expert, Jim White said on talkSPORT [08/06/21], “What am I hearing about Everton coming into a windfall, £40million from PSG? Is this happening?”
Laurens replied, “Yes they’re discussing the fee because maybe it was stupid from PSG but when they took him on loan, they didn’t put an option to buy in there which is quite crazy when you think about it.
“He’s a young player with a lot of talent, very promising, so they’re right to ask for £40million.”
Even if PSG cool their interest, we can offer Kean a new deal and he can almost be like a new signing under Benitez.
He’s capable of playing in all three attacking positions and is a goal scorer, which is an important facet to have for every forward in the game.
