Fabrizio Romano shares Everton update on Andreas Pereira pursuit

Everton have made an approach for Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Sky Sports guru has shared the major update as numerous clubs hunt to take the Brazilian on loan this season.

It is suggested that the Red Devils would prefer a permanent signing and have prioritized that during this window.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Romano shared the major update that could hinder our plans for this move.

“Everton have approached Manchester United for Andreas Pereira.

“Many clubs are interested in signing Andreas on loan, Man Utd still prioritize permanent sale.”

Out of the race?

Without selling any of our own players, it appears unlikely that any permanent signings will happen this month.

Denzel Dumfries was there for the taking, but Inter Milan look set to win the race after we elected to pursue a loan move.

The same is happening here, the Toffees are looking to get Pereira on loan, but with numerous clubs interested, that might harm our chances.

Manchester United will want to bring in money after big moves for Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, and this Everton proposal won’t please them.

FFP is really tightening its grip on Marcel Brands and Farhad Moshiri, and there appears to be nothing they can do to stop that.
