Alan Shearer blown away by Richarlison in Everton win v Southampton
Alan Shearer was blown away by Everton forward Richarlison in the 3-1 win over Southampton on Saturday.
The Brazilian scored and claimed an assist as the Toffees got their Premier League season off to the perfect start.
Despite question marks surrounding his availability, it was like the forward had never been away as he caused constant problems.

Speaking on Match of the Day, Shearer singled out the Brazilian for his efforts upon returning from the Olympics.
“Richarlison, who I thought was excellent,” he said.
“Just gets the ball in behind, doesn’t even bother looking and Calvert-Lewin gets his goal – if you get the ball in the box that many times, you’ll find a way to get it into the net.”

Excellent.
This was vintage Richarlison.
We all know that the Brazilian loves to be in the limelight, and he was never out of it yesterday at Goodison Park.
From picking up that booking for diving early on to turning the game around nearly single handily in the second half was perfect.
Rafa Benitez won’t want him to stop there though, with this partnership with Dominic Calvert-Lewin once again critical to our hopes of any success.
With Leeds up next, we could really see our attackers try and utilise those wide areas for crosses, something we really exploited at Elland Road last season.
Bring it on.
