Kevin Campbell predicts Everton clash v Leeds

We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…

Kevin Campbell has backed Everton to leave Elland Road with all three points against Leeds United this afternoon.

The former Toffees talisman has predicted that it will finish 1-2 in West Yorkshire in a close affair.

Rafa Benitez has been backed to make it two-from-two with a perfect start to life in the Premier League once again.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “I think Everton are going to beat them.

“I think it’s going to be very close, and it could go either way because I know what Leeds are like, but I’m going 2-1 Everton.

“Their tails are going to be up, and that beating Leeds took at Manchester United, it’s going to be tough.”

Everton

Kick on.

It was brilliant welcoming Rafa to a packed Goodison Park and picking up the three points in the fashion that we did.

Now, it’s time to back that up though and pick up another win in more challenging conditions, as Leeds bring Premier League football to a packed stadium for the first time in over 17 years.

There will be no room for mistakes like last week, as Leeds push forward and try to force that error for every single minute of the 90.

We share Campbell’s confidence, and if we can get an early goal, it may create a nervous atmosphere that we can really take advantage of – bring it on.
