Ainsley Maitland-Niles could still force Everton move

Arsenal caused controversy on Monday when appearing to block Ainsley Maitland-Niles a move to Everton.

The right wing-back vented his frustration on social media, insisting that he only wanted to go where he would play and feel desired.

TalkSPORT reporter Dan Windle shared the latest on the situation going into deadline day, and it looks as though movement could still happen.

“Ainsley Maitland-Niles still could force a move out of Arsenal today before the deadline,” he said.

“We know Everton’s interest in him, and we know what he put on Instagram yesterday, that was quite the plea.

“We will see if things move with Ainsley Maitland-Niles over the next few hours.”

Forced?

Maitland-Niles would be the perfect addition for the Toffees.

The Arsenal man would arrive on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy, as per Ornstein above, and that suits the financial situation at Goodison Park.

Being able to play at right-back and in midfield will also help, as it provides cover for two areas that desperately need it.

Things can move very quickly on deadline day, we all know that, and will Arsenal really want a player who doesn’t want to be there on their books?

Rafa Benitez can take advantage of that, and it would really be the best for all parties in this deal.
