Everton Super Fans want James Rodriguez gone after reported overseas interest
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Goodison News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.
Istanbul Basaksehir have registered a reported interest to sign Everton attacker James Rodriguez on loan.
The Turkish transfer window shuts on September 8 and Foot Mercato have reported they want to sign the Colombia international on loan before that deadline.
The 30-year-old is on big wages at Goodison Park so it remains to be seen first whether they’re able to afford them, and second whether the player actually fancies a move to Turkey.

Toffees fans took to Facebook to voice their displeasure at the way Rodriguez has conducted himself and expect him to leave at the earliest.
They also brought up his colossal wages that they want off the club’s payroll and said that the team is better off without him.
Here’s what they said:

Too late in the day
The Merseyside outfit needed to sell first in order to buy this summer and even if they were to get a decent loan fee and money off the payroll for Rodriguez, they will not be able to register another player as the window in England has shut.
It will not benefit the club in any way to let him leave now and Rafa Benitez must now find a way to make the most of Rodriguez’s services.
Yes, it might ease the wage load on the payroll, but until January they wouldn’t have his services to call upon.
If we were in Marcel Brands’ shoes, we would keep him at least until the window opens again and tell Benitez to give the Colombian a chance to play.
