Everton Super Fans want to Cenk Tosun to leave the club ASAP
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Goodison News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.
Everton Super Fans have flocked to a post on the Goodison News Facebook page about Cenk Tosun.
Apparently, the 30-year-old striker has turned down a return Besiktas, but the Turkish giants will return with another offer for the striker in January [Fotospor].
However, it is pretty clear that our Super Fans want him out of the club, and many believe that he is stealing a wage.
Tosun’s move just hasn’t worked out.
Since joining the Toffees for over £20million in January 2018, the striker has made 58 appearances and scored 11 goals, which isn’t an awful return.
However, he has had long spells out of the team injured, and the move just hasn’t worked out for the player or the club.
He still probably has a few years left at the top of his game, and a move away from Goodison Park would suit all parties.
Certainly, a return to Turkey would make sense, and we hope that a club comes in for him in January.
It is clear that our Super Fans have had enough of him, and that is fair enough, though we think his failure is also on the club, and not just Tosun.
In other Everton news, the club have agreed a deal for one player to leave today.
