Kevin Campbell shares Everton verdict on Ben Godfrey & Jonjoe Kenny
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell is thrilled with the impending return to action of Everton defender Ben Godfrey this week.
The England international is yet to feature this season in the Premier League but looks set to be available against Burnley.
Campbell believes that Rafa Benitez will have been itching to get his hands on Godfrey and his “exceptional” talents after being stuck with Jonjoe Kenny.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “Jonjoe Kenny is ok, but he hasn’t got a massive future at the club.
“Ben Godfrey is one who Rafa Benitez probably couldn’t wait to get his hands on in training and see what he can do.
“He’s an exceptional player who can play multiple positions.”

Spot on.
All eyes are waiting for Monday evening and the impeding return of Godfrey to the starting XI at Goodison Park.
Seamus Coleman gave us all an injury scare this week during the international break but looks fit enough to start.
Even with that, Godfrey should start centrally given his immense performances since arriving from Norwich, becoming basically our first choice.
The potential absence of Coleman led to suggestions Godfrey was better off at right-back than Kenny, who Campbell believes has no future at the club.
Time will tell, but it will be brilliant to see Godfrey back in the fold.
