Confirmed Everton starting XI v Burnley

Everton will be looking to get into the top four today with a win against Burnley, but will not have Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s services to count on.

Ben Godfrey, who has not played a single minute of professional football this term, has been thrown into the starting eleven.

New signing Salomon Rondon or the wantaway James Rodriguez both do not find themselves in the playing eleven, with the Colombian not even on the bench for this one.

In goal, Jordan Pickford retains his spot and will be looking to get over his shaky mid-week performance for England against Poland.

Seamus Coleman had an international scare of his own after pulling out of the Republic of Ireland squad, but he has been deemed fit enough to start against Burnley.

Partnering Godfrey at the back will be Yerry Mina and Michael Keane with Lucas Digne playing at left wing-back.

In midfield, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure have started all three games thus far and will continue to play in the middle of the park.

The in-form Demarai Gray is likely to play as the second striker with Andros Townsend playing in behind him.

Richarlison will play as main striker in Calvert-Lewin’s absence and will be carrying the goal-scoring responsibilities for the Toffees.

Burnley are known to be a notoriously hard team to break down and it remains to be seen whether the Toffees have it in them to win against Sean Dyche’s men.
