Everton Super Fans want Rafa Benitez to start Salomon Rondon against Aston Villa on Saturday.
The Venezuela international arrived at Goodison Park in the final days of the transfer window to very little fanfare.
Given Moise Kean’s exit, the club felt they needed a backup striker and identified Rondon as a target, given his past association with Benitez.
While he is not expected to start every game, he could be thrown into the eleven at the weekend.
Given Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury and Richarlison’s workload over the last few months, it may be a safe bet to start him against the Birmingham outfit.
Toffees fans on Facebook were also open to the idea of starting Rondon for that game.
Here’s what they said:
Worth a punt
Rondon may not be the most mobile of strikers, but he’s capable of putting in a shift.
We know that he’s got an eye for the goal and will deliver more often than not, with the right service.
Hopefully, James Rodriguez is back in time for that game as he can play in the hole and set up a number of chances for Rondon.
Knowing Richarlison, he would be more than happy to share the attacking load with another striker.
He struggled at times against Burnley and could be unleashed against Villa playing alongside a talisman.
