Everton should try to sign David Luiz in January
Everton reportedly offered a contract to David Luiz in the last summer transfer window after leaving Arsenal and returning to Brazil.
AS report that the Toffees and several other clubs tried to sign the 34-year-old after his deal with the Gunners expired, and we believe that Everton should try again.
The former Chelsea defender has bags of Premier League experience and has played at the top level for many years.

Yes, he has been prone to errors in the past, but under the guidance of Rafael Benitez, that wouldn’t be anything to worry about.
The Toffees have four first-team centre-backs in Michael Keane, Yerry Mina, Mason Holgate, and Ben Godfrey.
All four are good and have their strengths, but defensively, the Toffees have conceded in every game bar one so far.
Therefore, we believe that the addition of Luiz would be perfect for the Toffees, and his added experience and nous would help improve Everton’s defence.
He could also be a guiding influence for some of the Toffees’ younger players on the training ground.

Considering he is 34, we doubt that Flamengo would want that much for Luiz, and if the Toffees wanted him, we believe they could easily get a deal done.
He has also been described as “remarkable” by Mikel Arteta in the past, and he could be a brilliant short-term signing for the Toffees, while Benitez continues to work with a restricted budget [Belfast Telegraph].
However, you could argue that any move is unlikely given that he has just joined Flamengo, but never say never in the world of football transfers.
