Kevin Campbell reacts as Everton secure deal for Francis Okoronkwo
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell has hailed “superb” Everton after they secured the signing of Sunderland sensation Francis Okoronkwo.
The Liverpool Echo shared that the Toffees will eventually pay a seven-figure sum and believe they have signed one of the best talents in England.
Campbell insisted that it was excellent business with young talents becoming better every single year, especially developing at Goodison Park.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “These kids these days are excellent.
“They’ve got great records, so if they’re going to pay that sort of money, they will have to have been watching him and think he’s going to be a star for the future.
“You’d rather have them in your building than developing somewhere else, you have to try and get them before the price goes through the roof.
“These kids are superb.”

Superb.
These are the sort of deals that Everton have been looking at since Rafa Benitez arrived in Merseyside again.
Okoronkwo isn’t the only player that the Toffees were looking at, as they actually failed to bring in the likes of Daniel Jebbison and Nathan Patterson.
Should the young striker become as good as expected by the Blues transfer chiefs, the £1million fee would be an absolute steal.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin arrived on a similar deal, and look at how far he has come over the years – that must be the goal yet again.
No pressure, but all eyes will be on Okoronkwo as times progresses – Campbell for one is certainly excited.
