Kevin Campbell urges Everton to revisit move for Nathan Patterson
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell has urged Everton to revisit their pursuit of Rangers defender Nathan Patterson in January.
The Toffees had two bids rejected for the right-back over the summer, with their second reaching up to £8million.
Campbell urged the club to not mess around and further scout Patterson over the next three months before a potential move in January.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “I think you’ve got to stack your deck now, especially in January.
“Obviously, it will give you a good few months to watch him more. If it’s someone the club covet and want to get then you don’t mess around.
“Get the deal done and you move forward, I think he would be a good addition and he can learn from a real legend at the club in Seamus Coleman.”

Get it done.
Seamus Coleman has been a sensational servant to the club, but he won’t be around for much longer at Goodison Park.
As things stand, Ben Godfrey would be the one player to step in should the Irish veteran pick up an injury problem and that isn’t his preferred role.
Having a young and upcoming sensation up can step in at Goodison Park would be brilliant, and it looks as though Patterson could be that man.
The move would suit the Scotsman too, and he would have more chance of featuring in Merseyside with James Tavernier ahead of him in Glasgow.
It is time to get this deal over the line, there are no excuses.
