Everton Super Fans slam James Rodriguez amid exit reports

This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Goodison News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.

Everton are reportedly waiting for James Rodriguez to make a decision on his potential move to Al Rayyan.

According to Sky Sports Italy journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 30-year-old’s representatives are in talks with the club, but there is no agreement in terms of the salary yet.

The Colombian has fallen out of favour at Goodison Park and after Carlo Ancelotti’s exit, he does not see a future at the club.

While most Toffees fans want him off the club’s wage bill, they’re not particularly impressed by his attitude.

He downed tools under the new manager and that’s something they will find hard to forgive.

Here’s what they said:

Bridges burned

A fanbase that was celebrating when he walked through the door is now the one that’s pushing him out of it.

James has burned all bridges with the faithful at Goodison Park and we don’t think that he will be forgiven by the fans.

He has been at the club on staggering wages and has failed to live up to his billing.

Despite having a few good games at the start of his career on Merseyside, he suddenly appeared to be uninterested with everything that’s been going on at the club.

His lack of professionalism is something that has no place at this club and Benitez will be better off without his presence inside the dressing room.

Hopefully, the three parties come to an agreement very soon.
