Everton Super Fans discuss signing Luis Diaz in January
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Goodison News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.
Everton Super Fans have flocked to a post on the Goodison News Facebook page about Porto ace Luis Diaz.
The Toffees tried to sign the Colombian winger near the end of the summer transfer window, but James Rodriguez refused to move to Porto [Carlos Aleman].
The 30-year-old then moved to Qatar, and it is clear that these Super Fans would love to see the Toffees make another move for Diaz, but some aren’t convinced they would be able to get him.

Can Everton get Diaz?
The 24-year-old is currently playing in the UEFA Champions League with Porto and has had a superb start to the season.
In seven games in all competitions, he has scored five goals for the Portuguese giants.
The Toffees pretty much agreed a deal for the winger in the summer, and there were suggestions that the club would go back in for Diaz; however, if he keeps playing like this from now until January, then his price will rocket [Ryan Taylor].
This could mean that in the end, the Toffees can’t afford him, and they might have to look somewhere else.

However, given that Rodriguez has left, you would think that the Toffees could pump some of the wages they are saving into transfers.
If they do that, we hope that Diaz will be a top priority for the club.
However, it is clear that some of our Super Fans can’t see the Toffees signing Diaz, and that is fair enough.
In other Everton news, the club have received a double injury boost ahead of the Norwich game.
