Rafael Benitez provides injury update on Everton star Jordan Pickford
Rafael Benitez has revealed that he believes Everton star Jordan Pickford is fine after there was some concern for him in the Norwich City match.
After a cross, the 27-year-old went down in the second half, and needed treatment with Asmir Begovic sent out to warm up.
However, the Spaniard confirmed that the England international should be fine, and he was just in a little bit of “discomfort”.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, he said: “No, it was a little bit of discomfort for one ball where he had to stretch the arm.
“He’s fine, so I think it’s not a big issue.”
Good news for the Toffees.
We have to say this is good news for Everton because though Begovic is a decent backup goalkeeper; he is nowhere near as good or reliable as Pickford.
Thanks to his time with Stoke City and Bournemouth, the Bosnian has plenty of Premier League experience, but he proved last week against Aston Villa that he is not at the peak of his powers anymore.
So, it is good to hear that Pickford is fine, and that should help the Toffees going forward as they face Manchester United in their next game, which should be fascinating.

The former Sunderland goalkeeper is an important part of this Everton side and has been described as “unbelievable” by Declan Rice, so we are pleased to hear that he should be fine [Liverpool Echo].
Also, the Toffees do have a few other injury concerns at the moment, and it is good to hear that Pickford hasn’t been added to the list.
