Richarlison posts positive injury update on Instagram

Everton forward Richarlison appears to be edging closer to full fitness as he has been seen working out at Finch Farm.

The Brazil international, 24, has missed the Toffees’ last three games across all competitions after he was withdrawn towards the end of the 3-1 win over Burnley earlier this month.

Richarlison will be keen to make next Saturday’s trip to Manchester United, and he is sweating it out in the gym.

Twitter user Dan Donachie posted a clip of the Everton ace at work while Allan watched on.

The player himself also took to his personal Instagram stories to show himself working out.

Huge boost?

It is unknown whether Richarlison will actually be fit enough to join the squad heading to Old Trafford this weekend, but it is a game he surely does not want to miss.

Everton suffered a Premier League defeat and a League Cup elimination at the hands of Aston Villa and Queens Park Rangers respectively in his absence before Saturday’s 2-0 win over Norwich City.

With England international striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin also out injured, Rafa Benitez will not be particularly very confident ahead of the Man Utd.

The Red Devils were handed a defeat by Aston Villa at the weekend in front of their fans, and they are definitely beatable, but the Toffees would fancy their chances with DCL and Richarlison available.

Despite his return to the gym, the Man Utd game could be too early for him.

He has already been omitted from Brazil’s squad for next month’s World Cup qualifiers, and seeing him back in action after the international break is more feasible.
