Salomon Rondon shares reaction on Instagram after Everton draw v Man Utd

Everton produced a brilliant performance to secure a 1-1 draw against Manchester United in the Premier League clash on Saturday at Old Trafford.

Anthony Martial scored his first goal since February for the home side just before the break.

Everton restored parity through Andros Townsend in the second half.

It was a scintillating counter-attacking move from Everton, with both Demarai Gray and Abdoulaye Doucoure playing their part in the build-up to the goal.

Rondon started the game for the Toffees and he did really well. He managed two shots and played one key pass.

The 32-year-old took to Instagram after the game to share his reaction, writing “Huge point on the road.”

Gray has responded to the post. “Big man,” he wrote.

Gray outstanding

Once again, the trio of Gray, Townsend and Doucoure has impressed heavily for the Toffees.

Gray has been simply outstanding once again although it can be argued that more streetwise players than Fred and Aaron Wan-Bissaka could have prevented him in the build to Everton’s equaliser.

Everton have made a solid start to the Premier League, and Rafael Benitez is gradually winning over the fans who were once sceptical of his appointment.

The Spaniard has always been a great tactician, and the result will give the team massive confidence, considering the Toffees were without their talismanic duo Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin for this game.

What has been interesting to note is how quickly Benitez has learnt from his mistakes. Rondon is nowhere near his best, lacking the sharpness required at this level, but Benitez still used him for the entire game.

Without doing much, his presence has always kept the United defenders on alert, allowing the creative midfielders to exert their influence.

In fact, Everton could have sealed all three points in the end but a poor decision for Tom Davies meant the goal was disallowed due to offside.
