Everton make enquiry to sign Harry Winks

Everton have reportedly sent an enquiry to Tottenham Hotspur about the price and availability of Harry Winks.

According to Caught Offside, the Toffees have identified the 25-year-old as an alternative to Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.

The report claims that the England international does not want his career stagnating at Spurs and is desperate for a move away from the London club.

Could be worth a punt

Winks hasn’t been given the opportunities to thrive lately at Spurs, but we know what a talented player he can be.

Under Mauricio Pochettino, the English midfielder went to places like the Camp Nou and put on an absolute show against some of the world class talents in the Barcelona side.

He seemed unfazed by the occasion and that was before he was even handed his first England cap.

However, since then there’s been turmoil at Spurs and his career hasn’t quite taken off as much as he would’ve liked to.

He would thrive under Rafa Benitez and the Toffees must sign him if they’re handed the opportunity.

His arrival could see Benitez move to a midfield three which could prevent his side from getting overrun in the middle of the park.
