Harry Souttar speaks out on future amid Everton transfer link
Stoke City defender Harry Souttar has suggested that he is not bothered about transfer speculations amid reported interest from Everton and Aston Villa.
According to reports from the Birmingham Mail, the likes of Everton, Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are showing interest in Souttar.
The towering defender has insisted that his full focus right now is on the current season with the Potters and he wants to win promotion to the Premier League.

“I think it’s just all paper talk, to be honest with you,” said Souttar as quoted by the Birmingham Mail.
“There was a lot of things said but I tend not to try and read it or try and get involved in it at all.
“We just started October, the transfer market’s been and gone. My focus right now is solely on the Socceroos and as soon as I get back to club football it’s purely on Stoke City and trying to get the club promoted back to the Premier League.”
Should Everton sign a defender?
Souttar was signed from Dundee United as a teenager and he has made a strong impact for Michael O’Neill’s side after loan spells at Fleetwood Town.
He has started the season strongly and impressed in his second full campaign in the Stoke first team.
While the player is currently focused on performing for his club and country, the interest will only intensify if he keeps on playing well this season.
Everton currently have a strong pool of central defenders but one player who could be under the spotlight is Mason Holgate.
If Rafa Benitez decides to sell Holgate next summer, then the Toffees boss will likely look to sign a new defender and Souttar could be considered.
