Fabrizio Romano claims Ramsey set to make December/January decision amid reported Everton pursuit
Reported Everton target Aaron Ramsey will make a decision over his future in either December or January, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Ramsey, 30, has been heavily linked with a Juventus exit this year, with Everton heavily touted as a possible destination for the 69-cap Wales international.
Calciomercato reported last week that the Blues have made an approach while Corriere dello Sport claimed the ex-Arsenal star favours a move to Goodison Park over anywhere else in the Premier League, with Newcastle United also linked.

Italians transfer guru Romano has now shared an update on Ramsey’s future.
“There were no approaches from Newcastle’s new board for Aaron Ramsey or Mauro Icardi as things stand now,” Romano wrote via his personal Twitter profile.
“Icardi is not planning to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the next few months. Ramsey will decide his future in December/January.”
Heavy outlay
Ramsey reportedly signed a £400,000-a-week contract at Juventus [BBC] when he agreed to leave Arsenal in 2019, so he may be an expensive option for Everton to sign.
Naturally, as a player looking for more game time and bidding to recapture his best form, Ramsey will surely accept a drop-down in wages, but it is unlikely to be to the level that would be acceptable for the Blues.
Everton can not afford to spend lavishly on a player who has only made 30-plus league appearances once in the last eight seasons.
While the “phenomenal” [James Benge, CBS Sports] midfielder is still doing the business for his country, scoring against Turkey at Euro 2020 and reaching 18 international goals last week after his strike in the Czech Republic, his performances are on the wane at club level.
Everton already have experienced midfielders in their starting XI, Allan [30] and Abdoulaye Doucoure [28], and there should instead be a focus on recruiting younger players.
In other Everton news, the Blues want to sign this Europa League attacker with a ‘Very low’ exit fee.
