Confirmed Everton starting XI v West Ham

Everton have made two changes to their starting XI for Sunday’s Premier League clash against West Ham at Goodison Park.

The Blues can leapfrog Manchester United and climb into fourth spot if they avoid defeat today, while a win would draw them level on points with Manchester City.

Rafa Benitez will have to make do without a few first-team stars again, however.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison were absent from the side that drew 1-1 at Manchester United last time out, and the forward duo remain sidelined.

Yerry Mina also fails to start after his international exertions for Colombia this week.

Seamus Coleman is back from injury and is set to start at right-back with Ben Godfrey tucking in at centre-back.

Alex Iwobi also comes into the side with Anthony Gordon dropping out.

Everton confirmed the team news via their official Twitter account prior to kick-off.

Today’s encounter sees a meeting between two sides with European ambitions this season.

West Ham are already in the Europa League after finishing sixth last season but they will be desperate to match their achievements of the 2020/21 campaign.

Everton, meanwhile, finished 10th last season under Carlo Ancelotti.

However, Toffees are already dreaming of Europe under Rafa Benitez after just one defeat in their first seven Premier League games.

In other Everton news, the Blues want to sign this Europa League attacker with a ‘Very low’ exit fee.
