AC Milan want to sign Yerry Mina, Paolo Maldini evaluates options

AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign Everton enforcer Yerry Mina in the near future, according to Calciomercato.

The Italian outlet has reported that the Serie A giants want to sign a new defender with Paolo Maldini evaluating his options closely.

It is suggested that although heavily experienced, Mina could cost far too much for the San Siro club to complete a deal.

It looks as though Mina has been handed to AC Milan if they wish to take advantage of that either in January or the summer.

Given the proposed expensive nature of the deal, the Italians may need to sell before they buy, meaning a deal next summer is more likely.

Everton will be demanding a decent fee for the Colombian, who has actually impressed since the arrival of Rafa Benitez.

Coincidence?

Alessio Romagnoli is the man who could need replacing at the San Siro, and this is where things could get interesting.

The Italian enforcer is currently in the final season of his contract, and Everton have already been linked with a move.

CalcioMercatoWeb have reported that Benitez wants to bring the defender to Goodison Park as early as January to beat any competition.

Could Mina going the other way sweeten the deal? It does make perfect sense over a potential swap with some cash also possibly involved.

Mina may have impressed this season but he has often split opinions since arriving from Barcelona, and now it could be the perfect time for him to be shown the exit door as we move in a different direction.
