Everton and Aston Villa favourites to sign Harry Winks
Premier League duo Everton and Aston Villa are the favourites to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks, according to Caught Offside.
The report quotes a source at Spurs that claims the England international will ‘100 per cent’ leave either for Everton or Aston Villa.
Should he leave in January it will only be on a loan as Spurs are not understood to be keen on losing him permanently.
However, even with this condition, the interest in the 25-year-old’s services is believed to be very high.
The source said, “100%, it’ll be either Villa or Everton, but in January it’ll only be on loan.”
Good move
Everton desperately need a midfielder in January and Winks could be the ideal option for them.
He’s Premier League proven, capped at the international level, and has the experience of playing against some of Europe’s best teams.
While his appearances for the London outfit have reduced of late, he was a mainstay back when Mauricio Pochettino was the manager.

Winks is a tireless midfielder who’s got an eye for the pass and the ability to control the tempo of a game.
He would also offer Rafa Benitez the option of playing a three-man midfield, which is something he’s not been able to do since moving to Goodison Park.
