Juventus may terminate Aaron Ramsey contract amid reported Everton pursuit
Aaron Ramsey may be the typical Everton transfer, one that fans want to move away from, but he could solve a number of issues for them in January.
The 30-year-old Wales international looks likely to be available during the winter transfer window after limited game time at Juventus this season, where he has played just one since September 26, a brief cameo in the Champions League against Zenit on October 20.
With the likes of Manuel Locatelli, Weston McKennie, Adrien Rabiot and Rodrigo Bentancur ahead of him in the pecking order, time is ticking for Ramsey to find regular minutes ahead of a possible World Cup berth in Qatar next year.

Of course, though, one of the reasons for being overlooked at the Old Lady is the constant injury issues that have plagued him since his move to Italy in 2019.
His first two full seasons at the club saw him make a combined 46 Serie A appearances – not awful, but certainly not enough to warrant his £400,000-a-week wages [BBC].
As such, Italian news outlet Calciomercato have reported this week that the two parties on working on terminating his contract, though Ramsey wants a hefty severance payout to leave Turin.
Juventus would prefer to sell the midfielder, who wants to leave himself, but accept that it will be difficult.
If Ramsey is available on a free transfer, then Everton may well swoop in for his services.
It was only a few months ago Ramsey received warm words of praise from ex-Everton striker Gary Lineker, who called him “brilliant” on his personal Twitter profile.
Numerous publications have reported Everton’s interest in him, such as Calciomercato who claimed in October that the Blues were “increasingly likely” to sign him in January.
Recent matches may well have convinced the club that a midfielder like Ramsey is essential to sign.
Abdoulaye Doucoure has missed Everton’s last three games, and in his absence, the Blues have lost two and drawn one, with selection issues in midfield.
The Frenchman has two goals and four assists to his name in the Premier League this season – no other Everton central midfielder has more than one goal contribution [Allan and Tom Davies – one].

Clearly, Rafa Benitez needs more attacking threat from midfield, and Ramsey would provide that.
He showed his goalscoring prowess for Wales against the Czech Republic last month as he struck in a 2-2 draw, while he has 40 Premier League goals to his name.
In other Everton news, Roy Keane has pointed to the Blues as a big example in a passionate Sky Sports rant.
