Mike Parry questions Everton & Rafa deal after Steven Gerrard moves to Villa
Mike Parry has questioned Everton and their appointment of Rafa Benitez after Steven Gerrard returned to the Premier League this week.
The former Liverpool man has taken charge of Aston Villa, leaving Rangers behind after links to Goodison Park over the summer.
Parry shared the £8million figure that differs between the two managers, with Benitez costing significantly more.

Writing on his personal Twitter account this afternoon, Parry quizzed his followers on the managerial changes this season.
“Aston Villa have signed Liverpool Champions League winner Steven Gerrard, a young and successful manager for £4m a year,” he wrote.
“The mighty Everton have signed seasoned coach Rafa Benitez, also Liverpool Champions League winner for £12m a year, who’s got the better deal?”
Here we go...
Parry simply can’t help himself in these types of situations, and this is a ludicrous question to be asking already.
Gerrard hasn’t even stepped foot through the door longer than 24 hours in the midlands, so it is unknown whether he will shine.
Benitez has experience and has proved he can do it in Europe and in the Premier League and will get things right at Goodison Park.
Looking at Gerrard, he could easily fail at Villa who are dangling close to the relegation zone and are in a rotten run of form so far.
What happens if that form continues and they slip into the bottom three? Will Parry quickly change his mind? Most likely.
We all know who we would rather have at the helm, and time should tell that Benitez ticks every box compared to the inexperience of Gerrard.
