Besiktas weigh up two-and-a-half-year deal for Everton striker Cenk Tosun
Besiktas are considering offering a two-and-a-half-year contract to Everton centre-forward Cenk Tosun, according to Turkish news outlet Fotomac.
Tosun, 30, is yet to play for Everton this season after recovering from a lengthy injury, though he has made the bench for their last two matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves.
The 45-cap Turkey international joined Besiktas on loan in January 2021 but was restricted to just four appearances for the eventual 2020/21 Super Lig champions before sustaining a serious knee injury.

Besiktas initially sold Tosun to Everton for £27million in January 2018 with the striker signing a four-and-a-half-year contract which is due to expire in the summer of 2022 [Sky Sports].
The Turkish giants are now weighing up a six-month deal in January to cover the rest of the 2021/22 campaign before handing him a two-year deal upon the expiration of his Everton contract.
Besiktas are ready to offer Tosun £1.3million-a-year but the Blues attacker currently earns £2.7million-a-year with the Premier League club not prepared to pay a hefty portion of his wages for him to leave on loan.

This is a move that looks set to weigh heavily on the return of Dominic Calvert-Lewin to the Everton first-team.
The England international played the first three games of the season, scoring in all of them, but he has been on the sidelines since with an injury.
In his absence, summer signing Salomon Rondon has floundered, failing to score in any of his first eight appearances for the club.
That, alongside a host of other injuries, has seen Tosun earn a first-team reprieve, though he is yet to gain any game time since returning from a lengthy absence of his own.
It seems rather fanciful to suggest he could earn regular minutes again with the Blues, but if Rondon continues to stutter and Calvert-Lewin’s return from injury is not a smooth one, then the club may well choose to keep Tosun as an emergency option until the expiration of his contract next summer, unless Besiktas are prepared to pay his full wages in January.
