Everton Super Fans react to new injury claim on Dominic Calvert-Lewin
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Goodison News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.
Everton Super Fans have flocked to a post on the Goodison News Facebook page about Dominic Calvert-Lewin and his return to fitness.
According to the player himself, he is set to return to training in the next few weeks and has eyed the Merseyside derby as a potential comeback date [Tony Scott].
The 24-year-old has had a bad time with injuries this season, but perhaps the end is in sight.

Certainly, this latest claim has pleased our Super Fans, who are mostly looking forward to seeing him back.

Calvert-Lewin is inching towards a return.
The England striker started the season well with three goals in three games and looked to be on course for a good season.
However, injury has meant that he has missed the Toffees’ last eight league matches, and they have only won two of those games without him.
So, it is clear that Rafael Benitez’s side are missing the influence of Calvert-Lewin, and they have struggled to find solutions without him.
However, it looks as if he is still going to miss a few matches but should be available to play against Liverpool on the 1st of December.
That is still quite far away, and that is also Calvert-Lewin’s prediction; the medical team might recommend that he recovers for a bit longer.
So, though our Super Fans are pleased to hear about Calvert-Lewin’s return, they should be wary that he could still be out for some time, which is a shame and the Toffees have to find a way to manage without him.
In other Everton news, the Toffees looked at Conor Gallagher in 2019 but missed out.
